Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Senior Analyst, Data Platform Engineering to serve as the primary Snowflake administrator and data pipeline engineer. You will ensure day-to-day security, performance, and reliability of the Snowflake platform and build curated data layers powering BI and AI.

You will lead AI enablement across the analytics org, configure AI agents, design semantic views, and collaborate with data architecture teams to provide trusted data for enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Experience as Snowflake administrator and data pipeline designer.

Responsibilities

• Snowflake Platform Administration: manage users, roles, warehouses, security policies.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and cost; tune workloads for SLAs.
• Audit and remediate security issues.
• Manage availability between Snowflake accounts and partner platforms.
• Test Snowflake Private Preview capabilities and document findings.
• Data Pipeline & Ingestion Engineering: design and maintain data pipelines from multiple sources.
• Build transformation workflows across Foundation, Processed, and Curated layers.
• Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and ensure data quality.
• Onboard new data sources and define ingestion standards.
• Document pipeline design, dependencies, and data lineage.
• AI & Agent Enablement: enablement, testing, and rollout of AI applications and copilots.
• Configure and monitor agents and integrations.
• Collaborate on context-layer efforts for reliable data access.
• Curate Data & Semantic Views: build curated datasets and data models for dashboards and agents.
