UMGC is seeking a Senior Engineer for Data Enablement & Management to lead the enterprise Lakehouse and Data & AI platform. You will drive design, modernization, and reliable operation of data pipelines and analytics capabilities using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark.

The role requires senior technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across Data Architecture, Data Science & AI, BI, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data products and governed data assets.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in data engineering, data platform engineering, analytics engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading enterprise Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and Lakehouse implementations.
• Experience designing and operating enterprise data pipelines and governed data products.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, implementation, modernization, and reliability of UMGC's enterprise Lakehouse and Data & AI platform.
• Provide senior technical leadership for data engineering, platform operations, and analytics enablement.
• Mentor engineers, establish standards, and drive automation and platform maturity.
• Collaborate with Data Architecture, Data Science & AI, BI, Applications, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable data capabilities.
• Oversee data governance, security, observability, and compliance across platforms.
