Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Platform Engineering leader to design and develop core data storage, streaming, caching, and indexing platforms. You will work with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver new features, while driving improvements to development practices and tooling.

You will mentor engineers, uphold high standards, and collaborate across product, eng, and operations to empower Scale AI’s data-driven products globally.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-time engineering experience, post-graduation, with backend focus.
• Experience building large-scale data storage, streaming, warehousing systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of core data storage, streaming, caching, and indexing platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver features.
• Identify and drive improvements to engineering practices and tools.
• Present technical information to teams and stakeholders with guidance.
• Provide technical leadership, sustaining high engineering standards and mentoring juniors.
