Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and build foundational data platforms and orchestrate Scale’s core cloud infrastructure. You will work with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, deliver new features, and improve engineering practices.

The role exposes you to leading AI initiatives across enterprises and startups. Ideally you have 3+ years in backend systems, strong cloud experience (AWS), and hands-on with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Temporal, and NoSQL/SQL

Qualifications

3+ years of full-time backend engineering.
Experience with distributed systems and AWS.
Independent ownership of engineering projects.
Strong communication and collaboration with non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker.
Experience with Temporal and AWS Step Functions.
Experience with MongoDB and Postgres.
CI/CD tooling with CircleCI.

Responsibilities

Design and implement foundational platform systems, collaborating with stakeholders to refine requirements.
Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes and tooling upgrades.
Present technical information to teams and stakeholders and provide guidance on development practices.
