Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Product team to design and build mission-critical data services that analyze blockchain activity at petabyte scale. You will contribute to scalable data models, sub-second query latency, and cross-team collaboration with data scientists, engineers, and product managers.

You will drive architecture decisions, own data pipelines, and help shape TRM’s data platform with emphasis on performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in architecting scalable API development and distributed systems.
• Exceptional Python skills with SQL or SparkSQL.
• Experience with data stores like BigQuery and Postgres.
• Ability to design pipelines and data platforms from scratch and explain tradeoffs clearly.
• Cost-conscious with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Mentored engineers or analysts and promoted team growth.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable features that integrate with multiple blockchains.
• Design and architect data models for sub-second query latency.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to implement data models.
• Translate user needs into scalable data solutions with strong documentation.
• Communicate technical decisions clearly to stakeholders and teammates.
• Contribute to performance, scale, and efficiency in data pipelines.
• Experience with AI/LLM workflows is a bonus.
