Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Data Product team to design and build mission-critical data services that analyze blockchain activity at petabyte scale and support sub-second queries.

You will partner with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to design scalable data models, pipelines, and APIs across multiple chains, with a bias for performance, reliability, and clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting scalable API development and distributed systems.
• Strong Python proficiency and SQL or SparkSQL fluency.
• Experience with BigQuery and Postgres data stores.
• Familiarity with Airflow, DBT, and data processing stacks.
• Ability to design scalable data models and communicate decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable data features that integrate with multiple blockchains.
• Design data models enabling sub-second latency for querying blockchain activity.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to implement novel data models.
• Develop mission-critical data services powering TRM’s products and services.
• Communicate tradeoffs and documentation clearly across teams.
