Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build mission-critical data services that analyze blockchain activity at petabyte scale. You will work with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver scalable data models and fast query performance across multiple blockchains.

You will own end-to-end data engineering tasks, from ideation through production deployment, and mentor teammates while optimizing for performance, scale, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience architecting scalable API development and distributed systems.
• Exceptional Python programming and SQL or SparkSQL skills.
• Experience with BigQuery and Postgres data stores.
• Proficiency with Airflow and DBT; streaming workloads (Dataflow, Spark, Kafka, Flink).
• Cloud deployment and ops with Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable data services that power TRM's products.
• Design and architect data models enabling sub-second blockchain data queries.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and PMs on data solutions.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and write clear technical docs.
