Job summary

ServiceNow is seeking a senior engineering leader to shape backend and frontend standards within the AI Experience team on a production-scale platform. You will mature architecture, improve quality, and build frameworks others rely on.

The role focuses on scalable RESTful APIs, Java backend, Kubernetes deployments, and collaboration with UX/PM to translate designs into reusable UI components. You will mentor engineers and drive AI integrations across workflows.

Qualifications

• At least 12+ years of software engineering experience building scalable applications.
• Experience driving AI integrations into work processes or products.
• Proven track record of setting architecture and engineering standards at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Build and maintain backend services using Java and relational databases.
• Develop and deploy microservices-based applications on Kubernetes.
• Integrate backend services with frontend systems.
• Design reusable component libraries, frameworks, and tooling for engineers.
• Collaborate with UX, PM and design teams to translate designs into scalable UI components; mentor engineers.
