Job summary

CoreWeave seeks a Data Platform Engineer to partner with data science and product teams, expanding and maintaining a scalable data platform. You will improve telemetry, contribute to on-call duties, and drive internal tooling across data workflows.

The role emphasizes building robust data pipelines, creating a discoverable metadata catalog, and enabling self-service analytics for a broad user base. Strong coding and documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of data engineering workflows and architectures.
• History of writing clear, maintainable code and documentation.
• Expert knowledge of data orchestration/tools like dbt, dagster, Airflow.
• Experience with multi-PB scale data warehouses and high-demand systems.
• Understanding of web app logging and instrumentation best practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Data Platform Engineers and Data Scientists to expand and maintain the data platform.
• Collaborate with Core Engineering to improve product telemetry.
• Join on-call rotation for the data platform over time.
• Migrate data build tools to improve efficiency and performance.
• Build a data catalog and semantic layer for self-service analytics.
• Develop an internal AI agent for data workflows and internal AI apps.
