Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is expanding its Support Services team with a Senior Consulting Engineer to provide consultative support and hands-on engineering for strategic enterprise customers worldwide.

You will work across Consultative Support, Engineering, and Support, engaging in design, migration, and reference architectures while partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales on roadmaps and plans. Travel up to 35% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE or Project Management.
• 5+ years implementing, operating, or supporting scalable distributed DBMS.
• Breadth in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS, distributed systems, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes and big data.
• Experience leading large technical projects with multiple engineers.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure and their IaaS offerings.
• Experience with OSS/open-source technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Project Engineering & Consulting on customer projects, including design, architecture, integration and documentation.
• Consultative Support providing onboarding, production launches, and POCs for strategic users.
• Provide architectural, technical, and migration assistance with hands-on tasks.
• Handle L1–L3 support cases when not on active projects.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to influence roadmap and account plans.
• Create and maintain public/internal documentation, knowledge base, and learning resources.
• Mentor new team members and participate in on-call rotation, with up to 35% travel.
