Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with customers, own architecture, and deliver end-to-end data, AI, and application solutions using the company platform.

You will embed with client teams, design scalable reference architectures, and lead implementation of data pipelines, ML models, and user-facing interfaces while maintaining strong customer empathy and measurable outcomes. Travel 20% is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with two or more cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), with expertise in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Experience with MLOps and AI models.
• Design and deployment of production data architectures integrating pipelines, ML/AI models, and UIs.
• Experience with enterprise client delivery and project management.
• Willingness to travel about 20%.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade data and AI projects, delivering reference architectures and custom apps.
• Guide transformational big data projects from end-to-end design to deployment.
• Bootstrap and implement customer projects ensuring adoption and measurable outcomes.
• Lead architecture decisions for secure, scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, PM, architects and customer teams to deliver components.
• Provide product feedback to engineering and support teams.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and drive impact.
• Contribute accelerators and best practices to scale impact across accounts.
