Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and hands-on development of a Palantir Foundry-based data product. You will define the enterprise ontology, analytics framework, and scalable data pipelines to support trusted reporting and AI-enabled workflows.

The role requires building durable semantic models across clinical, operational, financial, and administrative domains, mentoring engineers, and guiding long-term platform strategy with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with PySpark, Spark, Python, SQL and distributed data processing.
• Knowledge of data modeling and semantic architecture concepts.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, version control, monitoring, documentation, and release management.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of a Palantir Foundry-based data product.
• Define and evolve the enterprise ontology using healthcare data sources.
• Model core clinical, operational, financial, and administrative entities for scalable analytics.
• Establish architecture standards and semantic modeling frameworks.
• Design and optimize PySpark transformations and data pipelines for enterprise reporting.
• Drive data quality, governance, security, privacy, lineage, and auditability.
• Lead architectural decision-making and define technical strategies for platform scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into durable technical solutions.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve engineering productivity and product innovation.
• Mentor engineers and promote modern engineering practices.
