Vizient in Edina, MN is seeking a Staff Engineer who will lead the architectural design of a Palantir Foundry-based data product, owning the enterprise ontology and analytics framework. You will work across teams to turn healthcare, operational, financial, and administrative data into a governed semantic model that enables trusted reporting and scalable analytics.

This role requires 7+ years of experience in data/platform engineering and hands-on Palantir Foundry experience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience required.
• Strong expertise in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, or data architecture.
• Experience with PySpark, Spark, Python, SQL, and distributed data processing.
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience including ontology development preferred.
• Knowledge of ontology design, semantic modeling, and enterprise data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and version control.
• Ability to translate healthcare and business workflows into durable technical models.
• Strong communication skills and mentoring experience.
• Experience with healthcare data domains (EHR, ERP, FHIR, HL7) preferred.
• Familiarity with data quality, lineage, observability, and privacy/compliance.

Responsabilités

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of a Palantir Foundry-based data product.
• Define and evolve the enterprise ontology using EHR, ERP, and related data sources.
• Model and maintain core clinical, operational, financial, and administrative entities.
• Establish and govern architecture standards, ontology design patterns, data contracts.
• Design, implement, and optimize PySpark transformations and data pipelines.
• Drive data quality, governance, security, privacy, lineage, and auditability.
• Lead architectural decision-making and define technical strategies for scalability.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, operations, governance, and engineering teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve productivity and analytics capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and promote modern engineering practices including AI-assisted development.
