Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead the architecture and hands-on development of a Palantir Foundry-based data product. You will own the enterprise ontology, curate data assets, and guide analytics engineering frameworks across healthcare data domains.

You will mentor engineers, drive scalable data pipelines, and shape the platform's long-term technical roadmap while partnering with product, governance, and security teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience required.
• Strong expertise in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering.
• Experience with PySpark, Spark, Python, SQL, distributed data processing, and production-grade data products.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, semantic architecture, ontology development, and enterprise data modeling.
• Experience implementing CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, version control, monitoring, and release management.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of a Palantir Foundry-based data product.
• Define enterprise ontology using EHR/ERP data, translating workflows into semantic models.
• Model core clinical, operational, financial, and administrative entities for scalable analytics.
• Establish architecture standards, data contracts, and semantic modeling frameworks.
• Design and optimize PySpark transformations and analytical datasets for reporting and product features.
• Drive data quality, governance, security, privacy, lineage, and auditability.
• Lead architectural decision-making and communicate tradeoffs across teams.
• Mentor engineers and analytics professionals in modern engineering practices.
