The role requires an experienced, independent generalist attorney who will advise on data licensing arrangements, data governance reviews, privacy obligations, and regulatory risk, while coordinating with internal stakeholders and outside counsel.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school with active bar status.
• Minimum six years negotiating complex data licensing agreements.
• Experience with data licensing, governance, privacy, or tech transactions helpful.
• Ability to travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on data licensing, governance, and related topics.
• Draft, review, and negotiate data licensing terms and contracts.
• Advise on privacy, security, and regulatory compliance in data use.
• Partner with business teams and outside counsel as needed.
• Support risk mitigation and enterprise data governance initiatives.
