CoStar Group is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join our in-house legal team, advising cross‑functionally on contracts, data licensing, and SaaS products. The role supports GDPR/CCPA compliance across US, UK, Canada and India, with on-site work in Irvine or Arlington and travel as needed.

The ideal candidate brings JD, bar admission, 3–5 years of experience including in-house contract review and negotiation, and a proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• JD degree and active state bar license.
• 3–5 years of legal experience, incl. 1–2 years in-house.
• Proven track record with contract review and negotiation.
• Commitment to prior employers.

Responsabilités

• Review, draft, and negotiate customer/vendor/licensing contracts.
• Develop contracting procedures while ensuring regulatory alignment.
• Communicate with clients and resolve issues professionally.
• Advise on product design and compliance.
• Guide data licensing and SaaS offerings; consider GDPR/CCPA.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and support compliance programs.
• Review post-acquisition contracts for assignment and change of control.
