Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Senior Manager in IT Governance to lead privacy engineering and compliance initiatives, building scalable privacy programs across the enterprise.

You will manage a team of privacy engineers focused on consent management, cookie governance, and privacy library maintenance, partnering with Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product to align with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; 8+ years’ experience preferred.
• Experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with consent management platforms, cookie governance, and web tracking compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers, ensuring operational excellence across cookie categorization, CMP operations, and privacy library maintenance.
• Partner with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product to align privacy practices with regulatory requirements.
• Onboard brands and acquired entities into Cox Automotive’s privacy program and infrastructure.
• Drive privacy-by-design principles and translate complex privacy concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
