Job summary

Pennant Solutions Group seeks a hands-on Data Architect to lead end-to-end design and technical architecture of our Data Lakehouse environment. This hybrid role involves collaboration with DB Platform Lead, BI teams and business stakeholders to translate complex needs into scalable data solutions.

You will serve as the primary technical authority for data models, pipelines, and integrations powering BI, analytics, and AI initiatives, while upholding governance and security standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field with 5+ years in data architecture or data warehousing.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks for enterprise lakehouse architectures.
• Strong SQL and dimensional modeling expertise; knowledge of lakehouse storage patterns.
• Proven ETL/ELT design for end-to-end data pipelines, ingestion workflows, and API integrations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for translating business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect the enterprise Data Lakehouse, ensuring scalable, high-performing, secure environments.
• Design data models, pipelines, and integrations across diverse sources and APIs.
• Collaborate with BI, AI, and software teams to deliver downstream data assets.
• Provide hands-on guidance through development lifecycle and implement best practices for data transformation and governance.
• Create comprehensive documentation including blueprints, data dictionaries, and mappings to support the data ecosystem.
