Job summary

Yusen Logistics Americas Inc. is seeking an IT Software Engineer III in the Edison/Jacksonville area to develop and manage systems enabling data exchange within our infrastructure and with external partners.

The role focuses on multi-value databases, integration projects, and ERP support, requiring strong SQL/Oracle skills and a background in logistics. Hybrid work may be considered with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of programming/analyst experience, with data integration projects.
• Extensive knowledge of data processing, relational databases (Universe/Unidata/MV-db, SQL, Oracle).
• Technical proficiency with networking, web development, label generation, and end-user support.
• Strong background in Transportation & Logistics industry.
• Proficiency with XML, X.12 EDI standards, SOAP, JSON, ASCII, FTP, and ODBC.
• Experience in developing standards and guidelines for technical operations.
• 5+ years in Universe and integration with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Ability to query and generate reports using SQL and Oracle.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide data and information systems support for MultiValue databases.
• Plan, coordinate, and develop software, hardware, networks, and applications with data integration initiatives.
• Offer technical expertise to identify projects that enhance customer and internal system integration.
• Consult with users to improve inefficient processes.
• Develop reports to improve SLA visibility.
• Administer Universe/SQL databases in support of ERP systems.
• Support intranet and client web portals using .Net technologies.
• Follow SDLC processes to develop, test, and deliver solutions.
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams for enterprise projects.
• Perform EDI mapping and develop custom alerts/reports using ODBC, SQL, VB script.
