Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Americas) is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and manage systems enabling information exchange within the company and with external trading partners. The role covers system installation, configuration, maintenance, and support for seamless data integration and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a programmer/analyst with data integration experience, strong SQL/Oracle skills, and a background in the Transportation & Logistics sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering (BSCS/BSSE) required.
• At least 5 years of programming/analyst experience with data integration.
• Experience with Universe, MV-db, Oracle, and data processing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of XML, EDI (X12), SOAP, JSON, ASCII, and ODBC.
• Experience in transportation & logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide data and information systems support for MultiValue databases.
• Plan, coordinate, and develop software, hardware, networks, and data integration.
• Offer technical expertise to improve customer and internal integration.
• Consult with users to improve processes.
• Develop reports to improve SLA visibility.
• Administer Universe/SQL databases in ERP support.
• Support intranet and client portals using .Net.
• Follow SDLC to deliver solutions.
• Collaborate on cross-functional teams.
• Perform EDI mapping and develop alerts/reports using ODBC/SQL/VB.
