Job summary

Yusen Logistics Americas Inc. in Jacksonville seeks a System Architect to lead design and evolution of on-premise and cloud infrastructure, spanning Windows, Linux, UNIX, virtualization, containers, and security.

The role serves as deputy to the Systems Manager, guiding architectural roadmaps, standards, and mentoring the team while ensuring highly available, scalable solutions aligned with the technology roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master's is a plus.
• 7–10+ years in large multi-server environments with Windows, UNIX/Linux, and VMware.
• Hands-on cloud design with Azure and AWS; hybrid-cloud experience preferred.
• Strong Kubernetes, containers, and DevOps practices including CI/CD.
• Experience defining reference architectures and infrastructure roadmaps.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and basic MS SQL concepts.
• Certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, or Cisco are highly desired.
• Experience in logistics or supply chain contexts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, secure reference architectures for compute, storage, virtualization, container, and cloud platforms.
• Develop an infrastructure roadmap aligned with enterprise architecture and business goals.
• Provide governance, architectural reviews, and guidance across on-premise and cloud initiatives.
• Lead proof-of-concept efforts and evaluate emerging technologies; mentor systems engineers.
• Collaborate with software engineers, solution architects, and enterprise architects to ensure cohesive operation.
