Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to join our enterprise data governance program in Charlotte, NC. You will design and enforce data governance policies, standards, and processes; drive data quality conformance; and partner with business and technical leaders to ensure responsible use of data.

You will lead governance frameworks, identify process gaps, define metadata requirements, and support privacy and regulatory compliance with stakeholders. Travel Less than 10%.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in data governance or data management.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Information Management or Computer Science preferred.
• Strong understanding of data governance policies, standards, and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and enhancement of enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
• Identify gaps in data governance processes and drive continuous improvement and conformance monitoring.
• Define governance requirements for metadata, including business terms, data elements, lineage, and ownership.
• Lead governance intake, prioritization, and recommendations for the Data Governance Council.
• Facilitate cross-functional data decisions among data stewards, custodians, and technical teams.
• Own lifecycle of governance artifacts: drafting, review, publication, versioning, and refreshes.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Security, Legal, and other stakeholders on risk management and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and deliver training and guidance to strengthen governance adoption and data literacy across the organization.
