Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to lead enterprise data governance initiatives and enforce governance policies. The role partners with business and technical teams to ensure compliant, high-quality data usage across the organization.

Responsibilities include defining metadata requirements, prioritizing governance efforts, and driving conformance testing while delivering training to strengthen data literacy and adoption across CLA.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience in data governance or data management.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, standards, and best practices.
• Ability to translate policies into measurable KPIs/OKRs and conformance testing.
• Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK areas: Data Governance, Metadata Management, Reference/Master Data, Data Quality.
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional working sessions and communicate with leaders, stewards, SMEs, custodians and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and enhancement of enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
• Identify gaps in data governance and drive continuous improvement and conformance monitoring.
• Define governance requirements for enterprise metadata, terms, data elements, definitions, rules, lineage and ownership.
• Lead intake and prioritization, assess impact and effort, and develop recommendations for the Data Governance Council.
• Facilitate cross-functional data decisions and document outcomes; escalate unresolved issues as needed.
• Own lifecycle of governance artifacts: drafting, review, approval, publication, versioning, refreshes.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Security, Legal, and other stakeholders to meet governance, risk, privacy and regulatory needs.
• Develop and deliver training and guidance to strengthen data governance adoption and data literacy.
