Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC is seeking a Vice President Control Manager in the Chief Analytics Office to supervise AI governance and CORE Program Governance. You will collaborate with partners to manage firmwide control environments, align policies with standards, and develop governance frameworks for data-related controls.

You will lead risk assessments, ensure practical implementation of controls, and support community practice for data governance across lines of defense.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of financial services experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance.
• Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners.
• Experience in identifying Risks associated with Data and required mitigating controls.
• Knowledge of Data Destruction, Data Retention, and Data Protection.
• Understanding of the 3 lines of defense in banking institutions.
• Independent self-starter, able to navigate ambiguity and exercise sound judgment in identifying critical issues and seeking relevant information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote) and be able to effectively communicate and articulate complex topics in a simpler way.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the control environment for Data Governance Initiatives.
• Establish and manage firmwide common processes, risks, and controls for Data Destruction, Retention, Protection, Classification, and Governance Tooling.
• Identify, assess, and document key risks and controls for the Chief Data Office in partnership with stakeholders.
• Serve as SME on firmwide Data Governance policies, standards, and processes.
• Support development and adoption of firmwide common controls and procedures, collaborating with stakeholders.
• Lead and support risk assessments related to Data Initiatives, ensuring timely identification and remediation of control gaps.
• Verify key controls are reflected in CORE and across LOBs/CFs where appropriate.
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, governance, and reporting with leadership and stakeholders.
• Foster a community of practice for Data-related Control Managers and partners across LOBs and CFs.
