Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC is seeking a Data Strategy Risk & Controls Director to shape and execute the firm's data and AI risk management strategy within Global Technology. You will blend data-risk and technology-risk disciplines to identify, mitigate, and report on governance risks, partnering with product owners, control managers, and regulators.

Leading a global team, you will establish data ownership, data quality, lineage, and appropriate use controls, while ensuring regulatory obligations align

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data governance or related fields with risk management focus.
• Expertise in risk management frameworks and regulatory requirements for the financial industry.
• Ability to lead teams and translate data governance insights to executives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Global Technology data governance risk management strategies, policies, and processes to define data ownership and accountability across Global Technology.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, and drive strategic projects and initiatives to enhance the firm’s data governance risk management capabilities, in line with industry best practices and the firm’s standards and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate emerging and upstream data and technology risks for Global Technology through execution of the Firm’s management framework tools, including risk event management, reporting, and action plan tracking, and provide expert counsel to stakeholders regarding data governance, data handling, and security obligations.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional team leads and data strategy leads, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards and drive data governance outcomes.
• Manage reporting and governance of overall data governance controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, informing governance work and senior leadership.
