Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Senior Manager to lead a high‑performing data engineering team responsible for pipelines, data models, and curated datasets across multiple data domains.

You will own delivery, quality, lineage, and governance while partnering with BI, Applied Science and SDE teams to meet executive data needs. The role emphasizes strategic vision, on‑call ownership, and strong stakeholder management across AWS leadership, with a focus on building scalable data

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
10+ years of data engineering experience with 5+ years in engineering management.
Experience leading teams of 15–25+ engineers across multiple levels (L4–L6).
Hands-on data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data architecture at scale.
Experience owning platform infrastructure and data content with dataset accuracy and governance.

Responsibilities

Build, lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team with hiring and career growth.
Set the team's technical vision and delivery roadmap with senior engineers.
Own delivery of data solutions: pipelines, models, curated datasets, tooling.
Ensure data quality, lineage, governance and audit readiness for data assets.
Drive on-call rotation, SLAs, incident response and reliability improvements.
Collaborate with BI, Applied Science and SDE teams to align with business needs.
