Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to own end-to-end design, implementation, and operation of distributed systems handling petabyte-scale data and AI-powered analytics.

You will influence architecture, mentor engineers, and drive platform capabilities across AWS services, with a focus on scalable workflows and GenAI powered analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• Strong programming experience in multiple languages.
• Experience leading design or architecture of large systems.
• Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve system architecture. Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost effective distributed systems for workflow orchestration and AI powered analytics.
• Drive architectural decisions that impact petabyte scale data processing and thousands of jobs.
• Build multi agent AI systems, including autonomous agents, orchestration frameworks, and tool integrations.
• Build reusable components, APIs, and micro-services adopted by other teams.
• Drive platform capabilities end to end, from concept through deployment and operation.
• Solve complex ambiguous problems and deliver innovative solutions.
• Influence technical direction and mentor others.
• Drive operational excellence and the health of production systems.
• Innovate with GenAI, LLM, and ML technologies.
