Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data-driven tooling and visualization solutions that empower efficient data processing and analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable internal tools and dashboards that streamline workflows and boost productivity.

You will mentor engineers, influence architecture, and stay ahead of industry trends while delivering impact across multiple business units in a hybrid US-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with data-driven apps and tooling.
• Proficiency in frontend tech: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks (React/Angular/Vue).
• Backend knowledge: Python, Java, Node.js; SQL/NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to understand data needs and build data processing, storage, and analysis solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable tooling for visualization, manipulation, and reporting.
• Work with backend engineers to integrate frontend and backend components.
• Develop internal tools and dashboards to streamline workflows and boost efficiency.
• Optimize performance and reliability; contribute to architecture decisions and mentoring.
• Stay current with tech trends and advocate adoption across the team.
