Job summary

Vuori is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead and grow our data engineering team while guiding architecture and delivery. You will own the roadmap for data ingestion and pipeline infrastructure and partner with analytics, product leadership, and data modeling to solve the right problems.

You will stay hands-on enough with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and ingestion patterns to drive credible architecture decisions and mentor engineers through hard problems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or related field with people management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Hands-on data engineering experience: pipeline design, ingestion patterns, cloud data warehousing

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of data engineers including hiring, mentoring, and performance management
• Set technical roadmap and strategy for data ingestion and pipeline architecture
• Partner with analytics, product, and business leadership to prioritize the data engineering roadmap
• Ensure pipeline outputs align with downstream models and analytics needs
• Own team processes: sprint planning, code reviews, incident response, testing practices
• Represent data engineering in cross-functional planning and translate tradeoffs to business terms
• Manage capacity and workload across projects, balancing new work and technical debt
