Job summary

Vantive, a long-established organ therapy company, seeks a senior Data Platform Leader to guide EDH, Snowflake, and enterprise data engineering. You will own end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and curated data product delivery, while setting standards and best practices.

You will mentor data engineers and collaborate with BI and product teams to ensure reliable, scalable pipelines and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 10+ years in data engineering, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, or enterprise data platform development.
• 5+ years leading technical teams or enterprise-scale data delivery initiatives.
• 5+ years hands-on Snowflake development, optimization, and secure data design.
• Strong experience with AWS data services, especially S3-based ingestion and processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for data platform components (EDH, AWS S3 ingestion, Snowflake).
• Own end-to-end design for data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and curated data products.
• Establish engineering standards, code quality, and operational best practices.
• Lead design reviews and partner with architecture teams for scalable, secure solutions.
• Drive modernization toward domain-driven data architecture and trusted data products.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across batch, incremental, and CDC patterns.
• Build pipelines from source systems into AWS S3 and downstream Snowflake layers.
• Implement transformations, validations, enrichment, and audit controls.
• Support EDH layers and patterns (collect, translate, curate, Snowflake consumption).
• Partner with application and BI teams to meet reporting and analytics requirements.
• Lead Snowflake development (schemas, tables, views, stages, tasks, stored procedures).
• Optimize Snowflake performance, compute, storage design, and cost efficiency.
• Implement RBAC and data sharing patterns; ensure governance and security.
• Enable curated datasets and reusable data products for reporting, analytics, AI.
