Job summary

Vuori is seeking a Principal Engineer to own the technical foundation behind our Omni Analytics pod and Customer Data Platform. This senior, hands-on role spans ecommerce, retail, marketing data, identity resolution, and activation.

You will set architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with data platform and AI teams to drive scalable data infrastructure. You will lead hard engineering challenges, review designs, and communicate tradeoffs to product stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience building customer data infrastructure at scale (CDP, identity resolution).
• Experience with ecommerce/retail data and marketing analytics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and engineering quality of the Omni Analytics pod and the CDP.
• Lead relaunch and buildout of the Vuori CDP: IDR, customer 360, audience definitions, activation to channels.
• Build and maintain data foundations for ecommerce, retail, marketing analytics, and journey analysis.
• Set engineering standards: quality, testing, observability, deployment, on-call; mentor the team.
• Be the technical voice in architectural decisions: warehouse modeling, pipelines, event schemas, build vs buy.
• Partner with Data Platform on Snowflake infra, ingestion patterns, orchestration, quality tooling.
• Collaborate with Data Science & AI to operationalize model outputs into production.
• Own hardest engineering problems in the pod: identity logic, large-scale event processing, new platform builds.
• Manage and mentor engineers and consultants (US and offshore).
• Use AI tools in workflow and set the standard for pod usage.
• Communicate tradeoffs, risks, and priorities to engineers and stakeholders.
