Job summary

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution seeks a Sr. Manager, Data Engineering, Data Science and AI to lead data strategy and innovation in Atlanta, GA. You will oversee data engineering, data science, and AI initiatives, mentor teams, and translate data insights into actionable business strategies.

Responsibilities include managing Snowflake environments, ETL pipelines, data warehousing, analytics tools, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or related field with 8+ years experience including 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong Snowflake and data warehouse design experience.
• Proven ability to lead data engineering and analytics teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Snowflake configuration, optimization, and scalability.
• Design and manage ETL pipelines across Snowflake and AWS.
• Lead data warehouse architecture and governance for reporting and BI.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing data team.
• Partner with Product, Editorial, Engineering, and Business teams to translate data into strategy.
