Job summary

Hitachi seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead enterprise data solutions for Federal customers on client sites in DC. You will drive design, integration, and optimization of data pipelines, mentor junior engineers, and help shape new service offerings.

Strong TS/SCI clearance and 8+ years of relevant experience are required. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and customer teams to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes, while advancing Hitachi's data intelligence

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field (or equivalent)
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise software engineering, data engineering, or professional services consulting
• Proven experience leading technical implementation projects within enterprise environments
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures and integrations
• Strong customer-facing consulting and communication skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex professional services engagements from design through implementation
• Design enterprise-scale data engineering solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements
• Lead customer architecture workshops, technical planning sessions, and solution reviews
• Translate customer business objectives into scalable technical solutions
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point throughout project delivery
• Drive customer success through high-quality solution implementation and technical leadership
• Deliver enterprise data engineering, data integration, and object storage solutions
• Partner with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope
• Review SOWs, technical design documents, delivery checklists, and implementation plans
• Develop customer-facing architecture documentation, implementation guides, and technical deliverables
• Communicate project status and technical risks to customers and internal stakeholders
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the organization
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers during customer pursuits and technical presentations
