Job summary

Hitachi Federal seeks a Federal Data Engineer to lead enterprise data engineering for federal clients. You design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, APIs, and integrations, mentoring engineers and shaping services offerings. You will work with PMs, Architects, and customer teams to deliver high-impact solutions.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong consulting skills to ensure successful project outcomes and trusted customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of enterprise software engineering, data engineering, or professional services consulting experience.
• Experience leading technical implementation projects within enterprise environments.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data architectures and integrations.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex professional services engagements from design through implementation.
• Design enterprise-scale data engineering solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements.
• Lead customer architecture workshops, technical planning sessions, and solution reviews.
• Translate customer business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the organization.
• Develop repeatable implementation methodologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineers during customer pursuits and technical presentations.
