Job summary

Sedgwick in Kentucky is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines across on‑prem and cloud environments, with a focus on Snowflake, dbt, and AI‑ready data transformations.

You will mentor a data engineer, collaborate across teams, and help set governance and CI/CD practices, while advancing analytics capabilities and self‑service access for enterprise users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience, with a proven record of building production-grade data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven data movement across on-prem and cloud sources.
• Core developer for Snowflake data platform; supports performance, data modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects transformation pipelines delivering high-quality data inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Maintains semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 NLU interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for decentralized teams.
