Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and cloud tools. You will mentor a data engineer and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data products.

Key responsibilities include building semantic layers, optimizing data flows across on-prem and cloud environments, and promoting CI/CD best practices. On-site role with generous benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience with production-grade pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and performance tuning.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud) and with batch, streaming and event-driven patterns.

Responsabilidades

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven data movement.
• Serves as core developer for the Snowflake data platform, supporting performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality data inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Designs and maintains semantic layers and metadata models for Self-Service 2.0 NL interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, reusable templates, and CI/CD best practices for decentralized teams.
• Provides direct management and career mentorship to one data engineer, with potential for team growth.
• Drives adoption of dbt and evaluates Azure/AWS data tools to optimize data flow.
