Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will serve as a core Snowflake developer, shaping data models, transformations, and semantic layers for AI and NLP capabilities.

You will mentor a data engineer and collaborate with analytics teams, applying CI/CD best practices and cloud tools (Azure, AWS) to optimize data flow and governance.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud) with batch, streaming, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience building or maintaining semantic layers for downstream AI or NLP features.

Responsabilités

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, streaming, and event-driven data movement.
• Core developer for the Snowflake data platform; supports performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Maintains semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 NL interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for decentralized teams to build data products safely.
• Provides mentorship to one data engineer and guides analysts in engineering practices.
• Drives adoption of dbt and evaluates integration of Azure and AWS data tools to optimize flow.
