Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the governed transformation layer end-to-end in a remote, permanent role. You will design and build Snowflake transformations, migrate legacy views to dbt models with lineage, and define conformed dimensions across multi‑ERP environments.

Role requires 7+ years in data engineering, expert SQL, dbt production experience, and strong Python skills. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits for a W2 employee.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data/analytics engineering with cloud DW experience.
• Expert SQL with window functions and performance tuning.
• 3+ years of production dbt with taxonomies and testing.
• Kimball dimensional modeling with SCD 1/2 and star schemas.
• Experience with ERP data (Oracle/SAP/MicrosoftDynamics) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Snowflake transformations and conformed dimensions.
• Migrate legacy SQL views to versioned, tested dbt models with lineage.
• Define modeled semantic layer across Snowflake, dbt and Power BI.
• Set standards for modeling, naming, testing, and CI/CD.
• Partner with report owners to ensure semantic equivalence during BI cutovers.
• Implement data quality, observability, and lineage with dbt tests.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams on feature tables and data foundations.
• Support SOX controls and ITGC alignment with data tooling.
