Qualifications

• 7+ years in data/analytics engineering, 4+ years on a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
• Expert SQL with window functions, performance tuning, incremental loads.
• 3+ years production dbt with macros, tests, snapshots, and full project ownership.
• Hands-on Kimball dimensional modeling (star schemas, conformed dimensions, SCD).
• Experience with ingestion tools (Fivetran, Airbyte, Informatica, Matillion) and orchestrators (dbt Cloud, Airflow, Dagster, ADF).
• Git and CI/CD for data using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or GitLab CI.
• Proficient Python for data tooling, dbt macros, data quality, and lightweight APIs.
• ERP data modeling from Oracle, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong written communication; self-starter in fast-paced multi-ERP environments.
• Experience supporting AI/ML, RAG, or agentic workloads from a warehouse layer.
• Preferred: SAP ECC/S4HANA tables, Power BI semantic models, DAX, SOX ITGC, MDM tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the Snowflake transformation layer from raw to staging to conformed to marts.
• Migrate existing SQL views to versioned, tested dbt models with full lineage.
• Define conformed dimensions and operational facts across multi-ERP environments using Kimball principles.
• Set standards for modeling, testing, naming, documentation, CI/CD, Git workflows, and release management.
• Partner with report owners to validate semantic equivalence and minimize BI cutover disruptions.
• Define and own the semantic layer across Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI for consistent metrics.
• Implement data quality testing, observability, and lineage with dbt tests and related tools.
• Collaborate with AI/analytics on feature-table patterns and data foundations for agentic apps.
