Job summary

Sedgwick, a leading risk and claims solutions company, is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer in Florida. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines across batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven flows, primarily around Snowflake and dbt AI features.

You’ll mentor a data engineer, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive best practices in CI/CD, data modeling, and cloud data tooling across AWS/Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of production-grade data pipeline experience.
• Deep Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud).
• Experience building or maintaining semantic layers for AI/LLM or NLP basics.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines supporting batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement.
• Serves as a core developer for the Snowflake data platform and supports performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt features.
• Designs and maintains semantic layers and metadata models for Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD practices for decentralized teams.
• Provides direct mentoring to one data engineer and guides analysts in engineering practices.
