Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement across on-premises and cloud sources.

The role centers on Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and performance tuning to empower analytics and AI features. You will mentor a data engineer and collaborate with cross-functional teams, advancing CI/CD templates, semantic layers, and data products across the organization while evaluating

Qualifications

• Five or more years of data engineering experience building production data pipelines.
• Deep Snowflake architecture, tuning, and data sharing experience.
• Experience moving data across hybrid on-prem to cloud environments.
• Experience with semantic layers and AI/data tooling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, streaming, and events.
• Supports Snowflake platform performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects transformation pipelines delivering data to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Maintains semantic models and metadata for self-service interfaces.
• Establishes reusable templates and CI/CD practices for data products.
• Mentors one data engineer and guides data analysts in engineering practices.
• Evaluates dbt adoption and cloud tool integration (Azure/AWS) to optimize data flow.
