Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement from on-premises and cloud sources.

You will serve as a core developer for the Snowflake data platform, supporting performance, data modeling, and storage structures, while guiding a growing team of data engineers and analysts.

The role promotes dbt adoption, CI/CD, and reusable templates for safe, scalable data products across teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated data engineering experience building production-grade pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud).
• Experience building or maintaining semantic layers for AI or NLP data prep.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines.
• Core developer for the Snowflake data platform; support performance and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines for Snowflake and dbt features.
• Designs semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Promotes CI/CD practices and reusable templates for decentralized teams.
• Mentors one data engineer and guides analytics teams in engineering practices.
