Job summary

ReqRoute,Inc is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Detroit for hybrid work with three days in office. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and AIML use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 to 10 years of data engineering experience, including enterprise grade data platform delivery and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end to end data pipelines batch and near real time using Snowflake, AWS services, and Python.
• Build and optimize data models in Snowflake (dimensional modelling, data vault, or curated data marts).
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using Python and IBM DataStage to modernize workloads.
• Implement job scheduling, monitoring, and operational support using Control-M with alerts, retries, SLAs, and dependency management.
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, and documentation standards across pipelines.
• Perform performance tuning and cost optimization for Snowflake and AWS workloads.
• Partner with Data Science, BI, Product, and Platform teams to enable data products and datasets.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to estimation, planning, and sprint execution per SDLC.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, drive preventative improvements.
