Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines across on-prem and cloud environments, with a focus on Snowflake and dbt AI features. You will lead architectural decisions, optimize data movement, and mentor teammates.

Strong Snowflake, Python, SQL, and cloud tooling experience is required. The role emphasizes data governance, semantic layers, and CI/CD practices in a dynamic, collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of data engineering experience building production-grade pipelines.
• Advanced Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing experience.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud) using batch, streaming, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience building or maintaining semantic layers for AI/Large Language Model or NLP search capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement across on‑premises and cloud sources.
• Core developer for the Snowflake data platform, supporting performance, data modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Designs/maintains semantic layers and metadata models for Self-Service 2.0 NL interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, reusable templates, and CI/CD practices for safe, decentralized data products.
• Provides direct management and mentorship to one data engineer and guides analysts in engineering practices.
• Drives dbt adoption and evaluates AWS/Azure data tools to optimize data flow.
