Index Analytics is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for government clients. The role focuses on modernizing the data ecosystem using Snowflake, AWS, Python, and SQL.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, deliver reliable data solutions, and implement robust data quality, monitoring, and CI/CD practices in an Agile environment. On-site in Windsor Mill, MD; U.S. citizenship or eligibility required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake, AWS, SQL, and Python.
• Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and modern data architectures.
• Experience with government contracting or fraud detection systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in AWS and Snowflake.
• Develop data models to support analytics, reporting, and dashboards.
• Implement data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks.
• Operationalize pipelines with version control, testing, and CI/CD.
• Perform data analysis using Python and SQL to derive insights.
• Document data models, dictionaries, and usage guides.
