Job summary

Sedgwick seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across on‑premises and cloud sources. You will be a core Snowflake developer, focusing on performance, data modeling, and secure data sharing, while enabling AI-ready inputs and semantic layers.

You will mentor a data engineer, guide analytics teams, and promote CI/CD best practices. This is a data‑driven role that collaborates with cross-functional partners to deliver robust data products.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on‑premises to cloud) with batch, streaming, and event‑driven patterns.
• Experience building or maintaining semantic layers for AI, LLM, or natural-language search.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven data movement.
• Core developer for Snowflake data platform; supports performance, modeling, and storage structures.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Designs semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD best practices for decentralized teams.
