Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and scale data pipelines across on-premises and cloud sources. You will act as a core Snowflake developer, optimize performance, and shape data models to support AI features and semantic layers.

You’ll guide a junior data engineer, promote reusable patterns, and advance CI/CD practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams on hybrid-cloud data solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, professional certifications, and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Five or more years of dedicated data engineering experience with production-grade pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven movement.
• Serves as a core developer for Snowflake data platform; supports performance and data modeling.
• Architects transformation pipelines delivering high-quality inputs to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Maintains semantic layers and metadata models for Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reference architectures, templates, and CI/CD to empower decentralized teams.
