Job summary

AnewHealth is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to maintain and enhance complex data systems for Pharmacy Benefit Management clients. You will design scalable data solutions, working with cross-functional teams to enable analytics and improve financial and clinical outcomes.

The role emphasizes expertise in data management, data warehousing, modern software design, and cloud integration. Remote-first work with Agile practices is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or 4+ years of related experience.
• Master’s degree in CS or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of SQL database development with Microsoft SQL Server tools.
• 5+ years experience with Data Warehouse methodologies.
• Cloud DB familiarity (Azure/AWS).
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and indexing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Agile environment and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Design, develop and deliver data solutions per requirements and schedules.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to evaluate systems and plan future work.
• Test, debug, and enhance code, processes, or reports.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, including indexing strategies.
• Provide technical specifications based on requirements and design.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge to improve the team.
