Job summary

SHI One is an exciting team within the Advanced Solutions Group of SHI that is building new digital experiences for internal users, customers and partners. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for the analysis, design, and development of solutions focused on data engineering and ETL workflows.

You will collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and help them achieve outcomes with your solutions and guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• Minimum 10 years' experience developing data applications, relational databases, and ETL platforms.
• Experience building highly available and testable ETL systems.
• Expert knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Expert knowledge of SQL scripting.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive data strategy, including data models and data warehouses.
• Coach team through code and design reviews to ensure standards.
• Ship high quality data solutions and maintain technical excellence.
• Coordinate with teams, stakeholders, and customers for data systems.
• Lead documentation and diagrams for development teams.
