Job summary

The Foundation is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable data pipelines on our Modern Data Platform. You’ll translate business needs into production‑ready data products and collaborate with AI, BI, and security teams to enable data‑driven decision making across the organization.

Based in Seattle, you’ll contribute to modernizing data architectures, ensuring quality, lineage, and accessibility for reporting, search, and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Typically 7+ years of enterprise data engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on with cloud data platforms (Azure, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Proficient in SQL and Python; experience with Spark/PySpark.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate ELT/ETL pipelines from diverse sources.
• Develop data products and dimensional models for reporting and analytics.
• Implement data quality, security, and monitoring across pipelines.
• Lead CI/CD, testing, and automation for data workloads.
• Collaborate with AI/Search teams to enable data-driven solutions.
